Sutcliffe Construction has won a £2 million contract to redevelop a brownfield area in Yorkshire.
A multi-use complex will be built on the 10 acre site, becoming home to landscape and forestry supplier Green-tech.
The £10 million Rabbit Hill Park development will accommodate 40 staff and become a showcase for Green-tech's product range.
The project is located between junctions 47 and 48 off the A1 and is being part-funded by a £200,000 grant from the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Enterprise Partnership's Business Grant Programme.
Designed by Lawrence Hanna architects, the project involves demolishing existing buildings and developing seven new buildings; a head-office for Green-tech, three warehouses and a single-storey office for rental.
Retail units in mixed styles and materials from single skin cladding to cedar cladding for the HQ will also be developed along with traditional masonry for the offices.
Sutcliffe is also creating an environmentally-friendly soakaway system including drainage ponds.
James Sutcliffe, Managing Director, Sutcliffe Construction, said: "We’re delighted to be working with the Green-tech team who are experienced in the construction sector and passionate about the landscape environment.
"This well-planned development gives Sutcliffe an opportunity to demonstrate a range of construction expertise from steel-fabrication to traditional masonry and ecological elements such as soakaway ponds - all on one 10-acre site."
Rachel Kay, Managing Director, Green-tech Ltd, said: "This new purpose build will give us the capacity to increase our output and staff numbers once again as well as becoming a valued asset in the local area."
The project is set for completion in November.
