Strada Expands Trench Convector Range

Strada Associates Ltd have expanded their extensive trench convector range with the introduction of 22 fan assisted and 26 natural convection trench models.

The fan assisted models use high efficiency Al/Cu heating coils and variable speed 24 volt DC EC motors linked to low noise tangential fans These achieve high outputs and low noise levels from small casings sizes.

The new range includes 6 off micro channel units, two at only 65mm deep and either 250 or 300mm wide, and four at 80 mm deep in widths of 175, 200, 250 or 300mm.

The smallest of these achieve over 1,000 watts per metre using 75 Deg C feed and 65 Deg C return with a 20 Deg C room.

Additionally, there are a further 16 models available in depths of 90, 110, 125 or 140mm deep and in widths of 175, 200, 250, 300 or 425mm.

All models are available in 100mm increments from 700 to 3,000 and then in 200mm increments up to 4,800mm long.

All casing are galvanised steel with black powder coated internal as standard. However, stainless steel is available as an option.

All other models are available with aluminium, stainless steel or solid timber rollup grilles or aluminium linear grilles except for the six micro channel which are supplied with rigid transverse grilles only.

Matching finish casing edge trims are available to complete a square edged installation into solid/ timber finish floors or an overlapped installation into carpeted or vinyl flooring.

The 24 volt DC EC motor linked to Strada's wall mounted programmable controller or the customers BMS allows constantly variable control of both fan speed and water flow rate to ensure optimum and lowest energy cost operation.

To complete the installation, an extensive range of options are available including remote temperature sensors, hand held remote control for the wall mounted controller, as well as all water valves and actuators.

All units will be supplied with full installation instructions, transport packed and with a sheet timber 'dummy grille' to allow trench installation without the grille.

The grille can then safely installed post floor finishing operations.

To complement this new range, 26 matching dimension natural convection trench units have also been introduced plus four off additional units at .300 mm and 425mm wide and a choice of either 165 or 200mm deep.

Grille and edge trim options are as the fan assisted models.

Strada are still able to offer original ranges of both fan assisted and natural convection trench with stainless steel casing and in client specific lengths.
