Developer Appoints McLaren To Housing Scheme
Private developer Essential Living has appointed McLaren Construction as lead contractor on a housing scheme in east London.
The contractor will responsible for the design, build and enabling works of the Farrier House project in Bethnal Green.
The scheme involves redeveloping two former warehouses into six- and eight-storey residential buildings containing 149 homes.
On-site residents facilities are to be developed including a concierge, clubroom, rooftop communal terraces and library.
The site was purchased for £14m in May 2013 from Albany Homes.
Ray Theakston, construction director at Essential Living, said: "We're delighted to be working with McLaren. This is an important early scheme for us and it was important to find a partner who shared our vision and understood our focus on detail and quality."
