Osbourne To Deliver £6m Housing Development

Construction News Image
Osbourne has been awarded a £6 million contract to redevelop two sites in London as part of Islington Borough Council's Newbuild Housing Framework.

The project includes developing 20 new 'affordable' homes in Rowstock Gardens along with additional landscaping.

As part of the scheme, Osbourne will remove a pre-existing two-storey block of flats and a row of garages, replacing them with a four-storey black of sixteen flats and four new houses.

The company will use modern technology to achieve high levels of thermal efficiency for the new housing.

In addition, it is to use off site construction techniques to keep disruption and pollution during construction to a minimum level.

Garfield Coombs, Osborne Director, Construction said: "Rowstock Gardens is a great project to kick off the Newbuild Housing Framework. Through great design and the use of cutting edge technology, it will be exciting to help revitalise this area of Islington and provide much needed affordable housing at the same time."
