BAM Selected To Deliver Mixed-Use Development In London
BAM Construction has been selected to deliver a mixed-use project in London.
The firm will create a 230,000 sq ft development called 1, 2 & 3 Buckingham Green at 63-65 Buckingham Gate.
The scheme will remodel the central Westminster residential/office space and is managed by Gardiner & Theobald on behalf of Anquila Corporation, who in turn are represented by London & Oriental.
Westminster City Council granted planning approval for the project in September 2014.
Works involve the design, procurement, construction and completion of three mixed-use buildings, consisting of private residential, office and retail space.
Each building has its own building block and individual design connected via street level urban realm as well as a double storey basement.
BAM will strip back and entirely re-clad the tower to provide 65 high-specification one, two, three and four-bed apartments.
It will also create four floors of Grade A office space in the redesigned building.
The Podium will provide 33,000 sq ft of Grade A office space while The Annexe building will comprise of two bespoke 2,500 sq ft floors of modern studio office space.
In addition, 12,000 sq ft of new A1 and A3 retail space will help form an entirely re-landscaped quarter.
Overall, BAM will make the buildings energy efficient, reconfigure an existing car park, and deliver the Cat A fit-out.
Construction Director, Andy Mason, said: "These are high-end offices / apartments and the architects’ use of light and the high standards of public realm will transform their look and feel. The finished buildings must be capable of attracting a range of residential tenants, retail and commercial occupiers.
