A-one+ JV Secures Yorkshire Road Maintenance Contract
A joint venture (JV) between Costain, Halcrow and Colas has renewed its multi-million road maintenance contract in Yorkshire.
The A-one+ JV will begin providing routine highway maintenance services on the Yorkshire and Humber network from 07 June.
In addition, it will deliver emergency incident response and severe weather services, as well as renewal and small scale improvement projects.
Features of the new contract include a focus on the "long term effective maintenance and development of the highways assets".
The JV will also prioritise combining routine maintenance work with projects to minimise the impact on travellers, as well as being more cost effective.
A-one+ Area 12 General Manager Brian Statham said: "I am delighted that A-one+ has been successful in the award of the new Area 12 Asset Support Contract. This gives us a great opportunity to build on the achievements of the last contract, working collaboratively with safety, customer and delivery at the forefront in everything we do."
England Service Delivery Team Leader for Yorkshire and the Humber, Roger Wantling, added: "This new way of working will allow us build on what we have already committed on Yorkshire’s motorways and major A roads.
"The new contract model will focus on safety, keeping our network in a good, safe and serviceable condition while offering value for money to our customers, as well as putting our customers and partners at the heart of what we do."
