Second Body Found At Collapsed Didcot Power Station Site
A second body has been found in the rubble at the collapsed Didcot A Power Station in Oxfordshire.
A guard of honour was formed this morning, 08 September as the body was removed from the site.
Three men, Ken Cresswell, John Shaw and Christopher Huxtable, were listed as missing after a large section of the former boiler house at the site collapsed during demolition preparatory works on 23 February. The body of Christopher Huxtable was recovered from the site on Wednesday, 31 August
Following this mornings discovery, Police said the families of Ken Cresswell and John Shaw had been informed.
Contractor Brown & Mason paused the removal of debris so that specialists from Thames Valley Police, Fire and Rescue's Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) and the South Central Ambulance Service Hazardous Area Recovery Team (HART) could enter the site.
In a statement, Police said: "The person has not yet been formally identified and this will be a matter for the coroner.
"Our thoughts remain with the families of Ken Cresswell and John Shaw and we would ask that their privacy is respected during this incredibly difficult time."
