Bardsley To Deliver £28m Manchester PRS Apartment Scheme

Bardsley Construction has been selected to deliver a £28 million residential development in Manchester.

The contractor will build 135 Private Rented Sector (PRS) apartments for developer Mulberry in the city's Northern Quarter.

Work on the eight- to 14-storey scheme will start in November and occupation is scheduled for summer 2018.

The project on the corner of Port Street and Great Ancoats Street marks Mulbury's debut into the PRS.

Designed by Tim Groom Architects, the Port Street development will comprise of one and two-bedroom apartments with balconies, communal roof top gardens, a reception area and 6,000 sq ft of commercial office space at ground level.

Ged Rooney, procurement director at Bardsley Construction, said: "Our hard-earned reputation for the successful delivery of high quality residential developments such as Port Street on time and on budget in locations throughout the north of England is reflected in this prestigious appointment by Mulbury."
