Plans have been unveiled for a new £48 million residential development in Liverpool.
Social housing provider Your Housing Group (YHG) is proposing to build 276 apartments at Liverpool Waters.
Designed by Brock Carmichael Architects, the 30-storey 'Hive–City Docks tower' will be based on Princes Dock and forms part of Peel's £5.5 billion Liverpool Waters development.
Features include 24-hour concierge services, restaurant and bistro facilities including a range of in-apartment technologies.
News of the development comes a month after developer Moda Living received consent for a 34-storey tower on an adjacent site.
YHG said it expects to submit a planning application in early 2017, with work to begin later that year, subject to consent. It is estimated Hive – City Docks would take 24 months to build and completion is scheduled in early 2020.
Stephen Haigh, Executive Director at YHG, said: "Hive– City Docks is a hugely exciting and innovative project for us and our Hive brand. Following the successful launch of our Hive brand earlier this year, we have completed our first development comprising of 106 homes, all for the build to rent sector.
"We have an active pipeline of further developments and are looking forward to bringing many more Hive products to the market very soon."
Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson added: "Your Housing Group's commitment to Liverpool has already resulted in transformational improvements in the north of the city and I am delighted to see the organisation extend its activity to the city centre with this scheme."
