Stanton Bonna Expands Production Facilities In Derbyshire
Precast concrete producer Stanton Bonna has invested £3 million to expand its production facilities in Derbyshire.
The Midlands-based business has built a new Magic Manhole production plant at its site in Stanton-By-Dale, Ilkeston. In addition, a new building to house the equipment was also developed.
The investment will replace its existing production equipment for Precast Concrete Manhole rings due to an increase in requirements for the construction industry, as well as the success of an innovative watertight manhole system.
The main production space of the building was built by Chesterfield based contractor T.G. Beighton.
The new facilities will be unveiled by Maggie Throup MP, Member of Parliament for Erewash, on Friday, 09 December.
Ms Throup said: "It is an honour to have been asked by the directors of Stanton Bonna to open the new Magic Manhole production plant at their Stanton-By-Dale site.
"We are extremely lucky here in Erewash to be the home of some of the country's leading manufacturing and engineering businesses, and this new investment by Stanton Bonna is a show of confidence in both the local economy and local people."
