Bureau Veritas Acquires HCD Group
Bureau Veritas has acquired construction consultancy HCD Group.
As a result of the deal, HCD will rebrand to the Bureau Veritas business and align the two companies in a singular identity.
HCD Management, HCD Eng. and Fusion Fire Engineering will be rebranded as Bureau Veritas, and HCD Building Control will become Bureau Veritas Building Control UK.
Ken Smith, UK Country Chief for Bureau Veritas, said: "The acquisition brought together two high-performing businesses that, combined, are delivering an even better proposition for our clients due to the complementary nature of our industry specialisms and areas of expertise.
"Now, our brand alignment will enable us to continue to strengthen our offering and provide customers with a 'one stop shop' of specialist services to the building development market sector."
Steve Highwood, Business Development Director at HCD, added: "Following the acquisition announcement earlier this year, our top priority has been delivering a successful integration of the two businesses with minimum interruption to our valued customers, which has already included the relocation of the London HCD team to Bureau Veritas' Prescot Street office in the City.
"For our customers, it's very much business as usual but with the added benefit of being able to utilise the extensive expertise of the Bureau Veritas team and access additional services and support in complementary areas such as asbestos and acoustics, which means they can partner with one specialist company to meet all their construction consultancy needs."
International Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) leader, Bureau Veritas, helps clients improve performance by offering services and solutions that ensure their products, infrastructure and processes meet standards and regulations in terms of quality, health and safety, environmental protection and social responsibility.
