Briggs & Forrester has restructured its board room under its plans to expand the Group's activities.

Paul Burton has been appointed as Group Chief Executive, and was previously Managing Director (MD) of the Engineering Services business.

In addition, Ian Lawrence has been appointed as MD of the Group's Engineering Services, while Chris Church will become Director responsible for the South East region, replacing Mr Lawrence.


The reshuffle follows a management buyout in June last year.

Executive Chairman Mike Stanton said the internal promotions ensure the Group has "strong and dedicated leadership, providing the support and direction to achieve our long term strategic objectives".

The changes, which will take effect from 01 February, come as the company reveals its revenue rose 8% to to £177 million compared with £164m in 2015. The Group's forward order book has also increased to £265m (£214m: 2015), while Operating Profit has risen 26% to £4.4m (£3.5m: 2015).
