Graham Begins Work On New £14m Twickenham Teaching Block
Work has started on a new £14 million teaching block at St Richard Reynolds Catholic College in Twickenham.
The project is being delivered by Graham Construction and is expected to be finished in August 2017.
To mark the start of construction Bishop John Sherrington, Auxiliary Bishop of Westminster, led a service at the school to lay and bless the foundation stone of the future teaching block.
The new 6,934 sq m facility will contain classrooms, halls, a kitchen and dining facility, specialist sports hall and changing rooms alongside ancillary accommodation, playgrounds and carparks to support the overall school's expansion. The new facilities will also be shared with Strathmore School, a Special Educational Needs school, which will be moving to the site in September 2017.
Overall, the project marks the third phase of planned improvements to the college, which is currently home to a 180-place primary school and 1,050-place secondary school.
