Work is continuing on a £14.5 million leisure centre refurbishment programme in Warwickshire.
The St Nicholas Park Leisure Centre and Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre are being upgraded to improve facilities for customers.
However, infrastructure problems which weren't identified during the initial site surveys have caused a number of delays to the scheme.
At St Nicholas Park, the swimming pool and new changing rooms will open two months ahead of schedule at the beginning of September. In addition, work will begin this June to refurbish the existing gym and install new equipment to create a new 80 station facility, opening in spring 2018.
The Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre swimming pool, new 100 station gym and fitness studios will reopen in early August 2017. Work to upgrade the village changing facilities and sports hall will finish in spring 2018.
Cllr Michael Coker said: "We are very disappointed that there are delays to this project and would like to apologise to our customers for the added inconvenience this will bring. We are working closely with our contractors to find ways to make up for the time that has been lost. Having made it our priority to reopen both swimming pools as quickly as possible, I would like to thank customers for their patience while this work has been ongoing."
