Olympic Construction have secured the 'Outstanding Customer Service' title at the Property Care Association's Best Practice Awards for the second year running.
The fourth-generation Oldham property company collected the accolade during the awards ceremony at The Slate, University of Warwick earlier this month.
A record number of entries were received for the PCA Best Practice awards this year. The awards' independent judging panel, Dr Hector Atlamirano, a building scientist for UCL, Paul Cribbens, Standards Manager at NHBC and Ray Ferris, Head of Compliance and Standards for the Government-endorsed scheme for trades in and around the home, TrustMark, once again singled out Olympic Construction for the title.
Stephen Hodgson, Chief Executive of the PCA, said: "The judges felt that Olympic Construction has a clear and robust code of ethics, which is at the heart of their way of doing business.
"It's a tremendous achievement to take this title two years in a row and they are very worthy winners."
The company's Managing Director, Adrian Dawson and his son Simon collected the prize on behalf of the company.
Mr Dawson said: " We are very proud to have won this title for the second year running. It's an award for the team effort, as we all strive to provide the best service and customer experience possible, from the first phone call through to completion of the works.
"Customer care is important to us all. We carry out our work in peoples' homes and they are their most important asset. People remember how you treat their properties and we always remember that.
"All our customers can be assured will not be sitting back on our laurels, and we will be looking to maintain and, were possible, improve standards.
"It's a fantastic achievement for us. We are delighted our work has been recognised by the industry. We get a lot of good customer feedback and we are very proud of that."
Olympic Construction undertakes property remedial treatment works across the North West. Their head office is based in Privet Street, and the company also has a further base in Water Lane, Wilmslow.
The business was established in the 1940s as a building works by Mr Dawson's grandfather and father.
Adrian took over the day-to-day running of the company in 1985 and included a greater focus on the remedial aspects of the industry. His son Simon is now involved in the business too and is working as a property surveyor and technician.
