UCLan Seeks Residents' Views On £60m New Square Scheme

Construction News Image
Local residents are being invited to submit their views on plans for a new £60 million square and student centre for the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).

The New Square scheme includes a remodelled Adelphi roundabout and the construction of a new public space, connecting the City and University together.

The space will be available for local businesses and residents to use as well as hosting a variety of cultural events.

Overall, the scheme forms part of the University's £200m 'masterplan' to create a modern campus which integrates seamlessly with the rest of the city.

"We're listening to and working with our neighbours and the wider community, and have already held a number of successful events with various user groups.

"Consultations are an excellent way for members of the public to speak to the team behind the project, ask questions and give feedback which will help to shape the scheme."
