The LUMS redevelopment scheme is a 200,000 sq ft three-phase project create a new centre at the University's Bailrigg campus.
In the contract notice, the University said it "wishes to build on the Management School's international standing by creating a world-class teaching and research environment to cater for the future needs of its students, staff and business partners".
It added: "The project itself will effectively be delivered in three phases; the first of these being enabling works. The project will be delivered to BIM Level 2 and BREEAM Outstanding required for new build elements and BREEAM Excellent required for elements with significant refurbishment."
Designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, a planning application was submitted in March and it is anticipated the scheme may be part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Programme 2014 to 2020. Completion is scheduled for 2019.
