Kier has been selected to build a new UK headquarters (HQ) and support centre for vehicle manufacturer Scania.
The new facilities will be built at Scania's existing Milton Keynes site and work is due to complete next summer.
Proposals include adding a new 54,754 sq ft, three-story HQ to the site's a t-shaped office facilities building and car park, along with a 4,718 sq ft facilities building.
The new HQ will feature a steel-framed structure with composite metal deck upper floor and roof. Internally, the building is mostly open plan, with dedicated meeting and conference rooms, and the three-storey open atrium will include a feature staircase.
Once the new buildings are developed, Kier will start demolishing existing facilities space.
Mark Dady, Managing Director at Kier Construction Eastern, said: "We're pleased to be working with Scania to deliver this important office development in the heart of Milton Keynes. We have a strong track record in delivering office developments, and we're able to use our teams' expertise and experience to create a building that supports Scania's business goals now and in the future."
Claes Jacobsson, Managing Director for Scania (Great Britain) Limited, added: "As one of the UK's leading commercial vehicle suppliers and one the longest established companies in Milton Keynes, this development reconfirms our commitment to both our industry and the area in which we are based.
"The premises are being constructed to an extremely high environmental standard, and as such will serve us for many years into the future as we continue to support our customers with an ever-growing and developing range of innovative and sustainable transport solutions."
