Sisk Starts Work On £750m Circle Square Development
John Sisk & Son has started work on a £750 million commercial building development in Manchester.
The contractor is delivering the first two buildings at Circle Square scheme on the former the city centre BBC site and completion is scheduled for early 2020.
Designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, the buildings stand at 14 storeys and 17 storeys respectively, providing a combined total of 400,000 sq ft of space for businesses across a range of sectors, including digital and technology.
In addition to being built to BREEAM 'Excellent' standards, features include floor-to-ceiling height glazing to maximise the light, raised-access flooring and full air-conditioning.
Once finished, the buildings will form phase one of the planned Circle Square development site, featuring 1.2 million sq ft of workspace, 1,200 new homes, 100,000 sq ft of public market, retail and leisure space, 250,000 sq ft of new public realm and car parking for 1,000 vehicles.
