Since 2006, WSP has been working with both councils to deliver improvements for their local communities. Previous projects include improvements to Bournemouth's main train and coach station to make it a more accessible and user friendly interchange, and the design of the award-winning Harbour Reach footbridge to improve links between residential development and local open space.

Richard Carpenter, Bournemouth-based Commission Director, said: "We're very pleased to be awarded this very important service delivery contract. We've been working with the Bournemouth and Poole Borough Councils since 2006 and we look forward to building on the success of our collaborative partnership with the councils to deliver high quality technical services that will bring significant social value to the local area."
