Introducing Structural Engineering Firm, PRO Structures

Construction News Image
Founded in Bristol in 2007, PRO Structures has grown over the past 10 years to become a company proud to boast clients such as Redrow Homes on the housing development front; Ridgway Glazing and the Windowglass Company who we assist with structural glazing design, and a raft of south-west based architectural clients including Angus Meek, Clear Future and GSH.

Working in partnership, our aim is always to offer the highest professional standards combined with excellent value and a no-nonsense approach. Our capabilities include designing to the latest codes and regulations in concrete, masonry, timber and steel, as well as offering substructure and geotechnical assistance, with a commitment to being as environmentally friendly as possible.

We believe in building long term relationships and will always go the extra mile to find the most appropriate and cost-effective structural solutions, and the design that best suits your needs. Based in Bristol, our client base stretches from Cornwall up to Coventry, as well as along the M4 corridor to London.

When we think about what our architectural clients need from a structural engineer, several qualities come to mind. The ability to understand your vision and translate that into structural design. The willingness to go the extra mile to find solutions when design problems rear their heads. A long-term partnership approach, rather than a transactional relationship which ends with the last invoice. And of course a commitment to design on time and to budget.

And when we think about our developer and housebuilder clients, we are quick to appreciate the multiple pressures you are under to meet targets, both financial and scheduling, and the number of balls which have to be in the air at any one time to ensure a new development is completed and fully fitted out in time for its release date, constructed to the expected standards and margins in order to contribute appropriately to profit.

PRO Structures Ltd prides itself on all those things, and perhaps that's why so many of our clients keep coming back.

From straw bales and rammed earth to glass and steel on the Caledonian Road

We have grown rapidly over the past couple of years, and now have seven technical staff, from students to director level. As you'd expect, we offer civil and structural engineering for residential, office, public sector and commercial buildings, across all materials, and work on everything from bespoke building designs and conversions to green design, and specialist input for structural glazing, such as at London's newest mixed-use development, Caledonian Road.

Our work has involved everything from bespoke straw bale and rammed earth design to enabling hundreds of plots for volume housebuilders; from change of use and listed building work to industrial units, community centres and mosque domes.
