A new five-year £150 million fire safety solution framework has been unveiled by Fusion21.
As the first dynamic purchasing system (DPS) for Fire Suppression Systems and Associated Works, the programme has been created to boost fire safety standards for the social housing sector and public sector buildings.
Three specialist lots are available to select from:
• Lot 1; Management of the Design, Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Fire Suppression Systems & Fire Safety Works (worth £100m)
• Lot 2: Design, Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Sprinkler Systems (worth £30m)
• Lot 3: Design, Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Water Mist & Associated Systems (worth £20m)
Nick Verburg, Procurement and Supply Chain Manager at Fusion21 said: "We've seen an increased demand from our members to procure fire safety measures, as the country remains focused on ensuring all properties meet correct fire safety standards.
"This DPS provides a procurement route that has the flexibility to respond to any future changes in legislation or within the wider marketplace and builds upon our already established fire safety offer. By selection via a mini-competition, members will soon be able to access best value fire suppression systems and other elements of fire safety works as part of this package.
"The system will also support registered providers to comply with Section 20 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, as it can facilitate contractor nominations made by leaseholders."
The DPS is available on the mytenders web portal, www.mytenders.co.uk, and can be found under Notice ID DEC149518. It will be live for members to access in March 2018.
