Galliford Try Partnerships has secured a £155 million contract to deliver the first phase of a major regeneration scheme in north-west London.

Genesis Housing Association and Queens Park Rangers (QPR) football club have chosen the contractor to carry out the first stage of construction works at the Old Oak Common site.

The work at Oaklands will be carried out over a 164-week period and includes the demolition of derelict buildings to clear space for 605 new homes to be built. Along with 3,500 m2 of new commercial and office space, up to 40% of the housing will be made affordable.

Other features will include landscaped public areas and high standards of energy efficiency using low carbon technology incorporated throughout the scheme.
