WS Atkins, has selected Philip Hoare as its new Chief Executive Officer of UK and Europe.
Mr Hoare, who has led Atkins' UK and Europe transportation division since 2014, will be responsible for leading operations across multiple transportation, infrastructure, building and industrial markets.
Speaking on his new role, Mr Hoare said: "2018 is sure to be a year full of exciting challenges and opportunities for everyone in our industry across the UK and Europe. I'm looking forward to working with clients, colleagues and partners to deliver best-in-class engineering and infrastructure projects to unlock greater productivity and improve the lives and prosperity of our communities and businesses.
"One of my priorities will be to push the digital growth agenda, ensuring we bring smart thinking and technological solutions to the table at this time when our digital and physical worlds are colliding at pace."
In July last year, Atkins was acquired by Canadian group SNC-Lavalin for £2.1 billion.
The appointment of Mr Hoare follows the promotion of Nick Roberts to President, while in the interim Finance Director Jamie Sharp will lead the UK and Europe transportation business.
