More Than 140 New Homes To Be Built At New Bolton Woods
More than 140 new homes are to be built at New Bolton Woods in Yorkshire.
Keepmoat has started carrying out enabling works to prepare land for 145 new homes, which are being built as part of the second phase of a £150 million regeneration 'masterplan'.
The area, based between Bradford and Shipley, is undergoing a long-term transformation with up to 1,000 homes and a range of community facilities being delivered, including a health centre and primary school. A total of 50 homes have already been built on site.
Land preparation for this latest phase is being funded through a £3.6m grant from the Leeds City Region Growth Deal – a £1 billion package of government investment to accelerate growth and create jobs across Leeds City Region. The enabling works will accelerate construction of properties on the 5.66 hectare site, with Keepmoat providing the remaining £21.2m funding for this phase of development.
Ian Hoad, Regional Managing Director at Keepmoat Homes, said: "We are delighted to be delivering high-quality, beautiful homes at New Bolton Woods, which will support the incredible transformation taking place in the area.
"We are building two, three and four bed homes for open market sale which will be perfect for families and first-time buyers, with Bradford City based just 2.5 miles away and a whole range of community facilities in the pipeline.
"The development will provide much needed housing but will also help to re-generate the neighbourhood and bring new life to the area. We will be working with the local community throughout the project, including offering work placements and site visits to students at local schools and colleges."
