B&K Starts Work On £15m PERI Site Redevelopment
Bowmer and Kirkland (B&K) has started work on a £15 million redevelopment project in Brentwood, Essex
The contractor is transforming the office and depot site of formwork and scaffolding specialist, PERI Ltd,.
B&K will develop new facilities for PERI's 80 employees, with features including a new two-storey office covering 2,700 m² of floorspace. The concrete structure will be cast in-situ using PERI formwork and scaffolding systems. In addition, two separate buildings will replace the current warehouse, with one accommodating cleaning and repair and the other storing plywood stock.
Plans are also in place to develop a showroom designed to display and demonstrate formwork and scaffolding equipment to customers, schools and colleges.
Once works are completed, the existing office will be demolished to clear space for an additional yard which will accommodate a larger stock profile on site.
Director of B&K, Adrian Grocock, said: "We are really delighted to be constructing this facility for PERI UK and look forward to building a long lasting relationship with everyone involved in the project."
Managing Director of PERI UK, Alasdair Stables, said: "This is an exciting time for PERI UK. The redevelopment is a significant investment by PERI into its Brentwood office and depot. It will provide new and improved facilities for staff, and additional services for customers including a plywood and timber store, equipment showroom for training, and a dedicated pre-assembly hall to complement our existing service in Rugby."
