SP Energy Networks will begin working in Edge Lane from 8pm on Friday, 10 August until 6am on Monday, 13 August. Traffic management will be in place during the project.
Since May, the company has been working to replace over 5.5km of 132,000 volt cable between Lister Drive to Wavertree.
Overall, the planned work will benefit local communities, reinforcing supplies for the existing 70,000 homes and businesses connected to the network, as well as facilitating future growth for decades to come.
