VolkerFitzpatrick has secured a £14 million contract to deliver a 70,000 sq ft office unit at Foundation Park in Maidenhead.
The single, three storey CAT A office will replace two of Foundation Park's recently demolished units.
The structural works will include concrete pad foundations, a steel frame 'skeleton' and metal decked concrete floors.
The building's façade will be comprised of curtain walling, infilled with alternating feature panels and glazing units. The second floor will feature structural glazing and a balcony terrace area, with glass balustrading. Roof lights will complete the light and spacious design.
Within the full height atrium, the team will install an internal staircase, which will be supported by structural wires at roof level to give the impression that it is floating. The office spaces themselves will feature 150mm raised access flooring and be finished with suspended metal tile ceilings.
Energy efficient LED lighting will be installed in each room and photovoltaic panels on the roof will provide the building with an ongoing source of sustainable energy.
Outside, the team will deliver approximately 103 external car parking spaces along with both soft and hard landscaping and space for 44 bicycles.
JP MorganVolker awarded the contract to VolkerFitzpatrick.
Stuart Deverill, managing director of VolkerFitzpatrick's Building division, said: "This exciting appointment in the Thames Valley for JP Morgan builds upon our proven track record of delivering high quality, energy efficient office space within easy reach of the M4, the M25 and major rail and air connectivity."
Paul Harris, vice president at JP Morgan Asset Management, added: "Building 5 will provide 68,000ft2 of modern Grade A office space and is the largest speculative development in the Thames Valley. With over 180,000ft2 of existing space leased, and just 2.5 per cent vacancy, Foundation Park is the dominant out of town location in Maidenhead."
