Ben Horton, said: "I initially did a week's work experience at CPW after being recommended by Switch Up, a local charity which works in partnership with the boxing gym I'm part of. I really enjoyed my week and I think that came through in my work as I was then offered an apprenticeship.

"I'm really happy to be working at CPW as I've always liked design and now I feel like I'm building a career. CPW is putting me through a couple of GCSEs and my HNC building services qualification as well internal training which I'm very grateful for."

CPW has a strong track record in taking on apprentices straight out of school, college or university and across the firm's nine offices, a total of 19 trainees have recently joined the business.

Ash Cowdrey, director at CPW, said: "We're thrilled to welcome Ben, Ed, Kieran and Anghus to CPW as we pride ourselves in being ahead of the curve in supporting the next generation of engineers.

"We make sure that our trainees are given not just vocational training but also internal mentoring opportunities to ensure they finish their apprenticeship in a really strong position. I look forward to seeing each of them develop and progress at CPW."
