This Land™ Appoints Independent Non-Executive Chairman
Recently launched development and investment business This Land™ has appointed Steve Norris as its Independent Non-Executive Chairman.
Mr Norris is a widely experienced Chairman with extensive knowledge of property, planning, transport and infrastructure, bringing a unique combination of both political and commercial expertise. He also holds the position of Chairman for Soho Estates and Driver Group PLC, and is Deputy Chairman of Optare PLC.
David Gelling, Managing Director of This Land™, said: "It is a great pleasure to welcome Steve Norris to the Board of This Land™. He is highly influential in the property sphere and a prominent figure politically, and I am delighted that he has accepted this position. Steve was a Member of Parliament for more than 14 years, serving as Parliamentary Private Secretary in the Departments of Environment, Trade and Industry and the Home Office prior to his appointment as Minister for Transport with a special responsibility for London. He is a former Vice-Chairman of the Conservative Party and stood twice as their candidate for Mayor of London in 2000 and 2004. Having worked with both central and local government, Steve Norris' in-depth political and commercial knowledge will be instrumental to the ongoing success of This Land™.

This announcement follows the recent appointments of four new employees to This Land's™ senior leadership team including; Kate Dunning, Marketing Director; Corné van Tonder, Finance Director, Alessandra Caggiano, Head of Strategic Partnerships and Natalia Boloz, Development Manager.
