Groundwork Underway On New Properties At Jewellery Quarter
Groundwork is underway on a new apartment complex in Birmingham's iconic Jewellery Quarter.
The development from Elevate Property Group forms part of a major transformation for the area, including plans for more than 320 new apartments and circa 100,000 sq ft of commercial space.
Elevate's new apartments will be located directly across from St Paul's Square, and include 32 one-bedroom and two-bedroom properties.
NM Group will build the development, named Assay Lofts, under a £3.9 million scheme. Materials in keeping with the traditional look and feel of the area will be used during construction.
Assay Lofts is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2019.
Nick Banks, Operations Director at NM Group's building division, said: "The successful negotiation of the Assay Lofts scheme is a great opportunity for us to develop a long-term relationship with our client Elevate Property Group. Assay Lofts, when complete, will significantly contribute to the resurgence of the Jewellery Quarter area of Birmingham. Our teams are on site and have a programme of works scheduled for the coming months to create this elegant development."
David Hofton, Sales Director from Elevate Property Group, added: "We are delighted work has commenced on this superb scheme in which there has already been huge interest. The site is situated opposite our offices in St Paul's Square and we are watching, with great interest, developments on a daily basis."
