Balmoral Tanks Acquires Majority Stake In W.E.T
UK-based tank manufacturer Balmoral Tanks has fast-tracked its move to the services market with a new acquisition.
The company has acquired a majority shareholder in Tamworth-based Water Environmental Treatment Ltd (W.E.T).
W.E.T provides legionella sampling and risk assessments, water hygiene monitoring services, tank cleaning and remedial works throughout the UK.
Balmoral Tanks will fully integrate W.E.T into the company structure, retaining the current management and workforce of 25.
Allan Joyce, managing director at Balmoral Tanks, said: "Our stake in W.E.T provides a platform to extend our service offering to our global client base. To date in 2018 almost one third of our UK manufactured products have been exported around the world.
"We have known the management team at W.E.T for many years and admire the way in which they have built an excellent reputation. The core values of their business are very much aligned with Balmoral and we look forward to building on their strengths and taking the company forward.
"I am delighted that the team at W.E.T will continue to run the business on a day to day basis as their knowledge and experience is highly valued.
"The acquisition underpins Balmoral's strategy of differentiation in the market place. Our ambition of being the number one tank design, manufacturing and services company in the world has been strengthened with the ability to provide a range of water treatment services and we look forward to an increasingly exciting future for the company.
"With improved and highly efficient manufacturing processes and a commitment to personnel development we consistently deliver on our brand promise of being 'not just another tank company'."
