Dickies Supports SkillBuild UK National Final
Global workwear brand Dickies is supplying its clothing and safety footwear to all contestants for the SkillBuild UK National Final.
SkillBuild forms part of WorldSkills UK Live, a skills, apprenticeships and careers event taking place at the NEC Birmingham on 15-17 November.
Organised by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), SkillBuild is the largest multi-trade competition in the UK for construction trainees and apprentices.
Dickies will sponsor the event with workwear for all contestants plus vouchers for competition winners.
They will compete in a number of different categories including bricklaying, carpentry, plastering and stonemasonry.
"More needs to be done to show the next generation that a job in the trades can be a great career and SkillBuild is a fantastic way to spark enthusiasm," said James Whitaker, Marketing Director, Dickies Workwear. "We're proud to be supporting the UK National Final and wish everyone taking part the very best of luck.
"The right workwear can play a big part in preparing apprentices for the best start in their careers. Comfort, practicality and safety are key, but cultivating the right image is also important. We're confident the items we're providing will give contestants the best support throughout the competition and we hope they'll continue to get use from them as they embark on their first jobs."
The highest scoring SkillBuild medal winners have the opportunity to progress to compete at an international level.
