Crest Nicholson has been recognised at the prestigious WhatHouse? Awards for its work on the Tadpole Garden Village development in Swindon.

The housebuilder won silver in the category of best public realm at the annual awards.

The best public realm award seeks to recognise developments with standout landscaping, parks, open space, facilities for residents, commissioned works of art or cultural attractions and other innovations by housebuilders to enhance the public space in and around their new developments.


Crest Nicholson was celebrated for its long-term vision and commitment to the sustainability of the ecologically driven project. Tadpole Garden Village offers public art displays, green corridors to protect a range of habitats, walking and cycle paths and an expanse of open space.

The collection of traditional and contemporary homes available at Tadpole Garden Village include one and two bedroom apartments and two to four bedroom houses.

Crest Nicholson secured the prize at the 37th Gala Luncheon, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Friday 16 November.
