Construction News Image
Construction work is to restart on the Temple Circus scheme in Bristol next week, Monday 07 January.

The scheme will continue with junction improvements at the Bath Bridges roundabout, with Clarence Road to be closed to eastbound traffic for 12 weeks to facilitate the work.

Other projects include deep drainage works and the installation of heat networks.

Nuala Gallagher, Director - Economy of Place, said: "We would like to thank all those affected by the works at Temple Gate for their patience. The completion of this infrastructure project is critical to the regeneration of the wider Temple Quarter, ensuring it becomes a thriving, vibrant and inclusive new district.

"Once completed, the new layout will improve the journeys of the millions of people who travel through Temple Gate every year. The scheme will also create new public spaces and give a much better first impression of Bristol for visitors arriving into Temple Meads, as well as delivering the first phase of our ambitious heat networks programme."

The entire scheme is scheduled for completion in Autumn 2019.
