Arup Group Chief Operating Officer Dr Alan Belfield has been appointed as the company's new Chairman.
Alan will lead the 15,000-strong Arup team, overseeing the entire business.
He brings a wealth of experience in technology, engineering and advisory services to the role.
During his time at Arup he has also been a strong advocate of the firm's diversity and inclusion strategy.
Alan will take over from Gregory Hodkinson who completes his five-year term on 31 March 2019.
Deputy Chairman, Tristram Carfrae has also been reappointed in the same role for a further three-year term.
Mr Belfield said: "It is a huge honour to be appointed the next Chairman of Arup. I have worked in the firm for over 25 years, so I know what an amazingly talented group of people we have. In these uncertain political and economic times, our work and our values have never mattered more. Along with my colleagues, I look forward to working with our clients all around the world on projects that make a real difference to people's lives."
He will begin his tenure as Chairman effective from 01 April 2019.
