DTL Announces Key Appointments In York
Develop Training Ltd (DTL) has strengthened the team at its York centre with four new additions.
These appointments are part of the company's plans to expand its national training and customer service operations.
Paul Abbott has been appointed as a Water Systems Lecturer, specialising in controlling Legionella bacteria in water systems. Based at York, he will also lecture at other DTL centres around the country and on customers' own premises. With the HSE ramping up the number of inspections it carries out, there is growing demand for Legionella training to ensure regulatory compliance. Paul began his career based at London's Canary Wharf working for Carillion, ensuring cooling towers and water systems were monitored and tested to prevent Legionella. He has also worked in water systems roles for Mitie Water, Biochemica UK and Hydrochem UK, and as a self-employed consultant.
Robbie Macdonald also joins as a Senior Lecturer for Safe Systems. He has returned to DTL after 18 months in the industry as a site engineer for a bio-gas company. Robbie will deliver Approved Person courses on low voltage electrical work as well as 18th Edition, Competent Person and PAT testing courses. Like Paul, he will also deliver courses at other DTL centres in the UK.
Other key appointments include Karen Brewin as a new client development adviser and Carrie Darley as the new Centre Administrator for York.
