Interserve Wins Contract For Specialist Education Academy In Bristol

Interserve has secured a contract to deliver a specialist education academy in Bristol.
The Department of Education is leading the project for for Learn@ Multi-Academy Trust (MAT).
Also working on the project are DKA Architects, structural engineers Clarke Bond and Silcock Dawson, who will provide maintenance and engineering support.
The academy will be constructed on the Soundwell Centre site which was formerly part of the City of Bristol College. Interserve will create a facility for pupils with a range of specialist needs, with the design team paying special attention to creating a variety of bespoke learning spaces as well as a residential unit for short midweek stays. Interserve's scope of work will also include refurbishing and reconfiguring the existing blocks on site as well as the creation of sports pitches and a multi-use games area. Construction is expected to be complete by September 2020.

The Learn@ group of academies offer children an inclusive curriculum and a personalised experience, ultimately helping to equip its students with the skills needed to embrace life-long learning.
