The Crown Estate Brings Flexible Working Space To London
The Crown Estate has delivered a new flexible working space in London.
Located just off Regent Street, One Heddon Street offers 350 desks and a breadth of flexible memberships, ranging from private offices for two to twelve people, to resident desks and co-working. It was designed to create a new hub for professionals, start-ups, and project teams in the heart of London's West End.
The Deluxe Group worked along with fit out firm BW, for architects Barr Gazetas, to manufacture and fit bespoke joinery for the high-end flexible working space.
Detailed manufacturing drawings based on the designer's intent were completed at The Deluxe Group's Northern Ireland headquarters by their in-house team and the work included the manufacturing of all solid surfaces and bespoke fitted furniture within the professional workspace hub.
Speaking about the project, Colm Connolly, Director at The Deluxe Group, said: "One Heddon Street has been a really exciting development to work on and one which adds to the growing portfolio of high-end London projects we have delivered in the past year. Using the highest quality material and our specialist detailed joinery skills, our team has created an impressive luxury finish with the same level of attention to detail our clients expect from us."
Barr Gazetas, commented: "Our design places people at its heart, using natural materials to create a warm, welcoming space aimed at fostering creativity. With a simple and effective design, it was of the utmost importance that all fixtures and furniture were created with a high-quality finish.
"The Deluxe Group were very helpful in working with us to maintain the design aesthetic and principles throughout the construction phase whilst also offering solutions if any problems were encountered on site.
"The large curved planter in reception and the seamless hi macs and timber clad staircase in the café are highlights of the project and a testament to The Deluxe Group's craftsmanship and willingness to work with us to push boundaries and create something unique."
