Lendlease has appointed leading property expert Laure Duhot as its new Head of Investment & Capital Markets for Europe.
Laure Duhot brings more than 30 years of experience to the role, having closed more than £16.5bn of property transactions over the course of her career.
She spent more than 10 years in private equity, investment banking, corporate lending, and project finance, before she came to specialise in the property sector 20 years ago. Former employers have included Grainger PLC, where she was the Managing Director who established the firm's PRS fund management business, Sunrise Senior Living Inc where she co-led the firm's fast UK expansion in high end assisted living sector, and Macquarie Capital Partners (now M3) where she was a founding partner and principal of the firm and led its European investment banking advisory business.
In her new role at Lendlease, Laure will lead on the execution of transactions, identify and implement funding strategies, negotiate investment partnerships with potential capital partners and establish new fund products across Lendlease's European pipeline.
Tom Mackellar, Chief Financial Officer for Lendlease Europe, said: "Laure brings a wealth of expertise to our team and a history of delivering astute investment strategies throughout her career. That will be of huge benefit as we deliver our pipeline of major projects around the UK and continental Europe."
Laure Duhot added: "Lendlease has ambitious plans to grow its Investment Management business in Europe, and I am looking forward to taking on a role where I can use my skills and investors' contacts to play a part in helping fulfil its potential to be one of the largest operators in this sector.
"We have a strong development pipeline, including a significant proportion of private rented sector units. As an innovative developer and operator, as well as a champion of sustainability, we are able to offer strategic capital partners access to unique property products through bespoke co-investment opportunities."
