Interserve Wins £2.8m Nuclear Industry Contract
Interserve has secured a £2.8 million contract to deliver facilities management services in the nuclear industry.
The firm will provide a range of services at the Civil Nuclear Police Authority (CNPA) training centre in Cumbria. This building state-of-the-art building is run by the Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) and houses the largest live firing skills arena in Europe, along with various training centres, classrooms and offices.
The contract will see Interserve clean and maintain the facility, deliver waste management and pest control services and provide mechanical and electrical services. Interserve will also run a helpdesk which will deal with all of the FM enquiries for the Nuclear Constabulary.
Jeff Flanagan, Managing Director, Interserve Business & Industry Business Unit, said: "I am delighted the CNPA has chosen to award this contract to Interserve. We have a proven track record in the nuclear industry and this contract provides a further illustration of our ability to deliver excellent facilities management services to this sector.
"What marks us out from our competitors is that we have been operating in this sector for almost two decades, so our understanding of the operational security and IT requirements associated with the nuclear regulated industry is second to none.
"This contract award is another example of how we are successfully executing our strategy to achieve wider growth in the energy sector, which is a core area for our business."
