Confidence And No Fear
Industrial components manufacturer and distributor, Vital Parts Limited is well on track to double 2017/18 revenues for the current financial year, following a trend that has seen the business grow by over 85% for every year since it was formed in 2014.
This growth has been recognized by Goldman Sachs and Vital Parts M.D, Mike Holt, has been invited onto their "investment into fast growing SME business" programme that supports entrepreneurs and points them towards even further economic opportunity by providing greater access to education, capital and business support services.
Success over the last two years has meant that for the third time Vital Parts have outgrown their premises and they have taken on an additional warehouse unit on the Palace Industrial Estate, in Maidstone. This doubles their current capacity for both office and warehouse activities. The extra space has enabled the business to immediately take on another 7 new staff members, spread across all divisions with a focus on client services and within the warehouse, where delivery of a premium customer experience is the key driver. It is anticipated that a further 20 positions will be created over the coming 18 months where the immediate focus will be on sales. This will take the team total over 40 with further growth expected through to 2021.
Supporting the company's growth agenda has been the introduction of an enhanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system which pulls together internal processes including planning, purchasing inventory, sales and finance and improves efficiencies even further as we work towards achieving the ISO 9001:2015 standard for quality and service.
Vital Parts manufacture and distribute unique and bespoke plastic, rubber, silicone and metal components for a raft of different industries and currently have over 20,000 different parts within their inventory.
In launching their latest product brochure Mike Holt played down any fears of an economic downturn and said: "We are enjoying a degree of success now and both online and direct sales are growing well. We want to expand into new component materials and new product lines and grow our profile further within the components sector. We are aware that some forecasters are suggesting a potential national and global economic slow-down but we are optimistic and will be pushing an aggressive growth programme into 2020 and beyond."
