Norfolk Lighthouse Restored Following Lightning Strikes

A lighthouse in Norfolk has been successfully restored after the structure was damaged by lightning strikes last year.

Rafferty's lightning protection division delivered the works on The Old Hunstanton Lighthouse, which involved designing, supplying and installing a lightning protection system to the lighthouse and surrounding buildings in accordance with BS EN 62305 requirements.

The damage and subsequent risk of falling brickwork and masonry highlighted the importance of lightning protection systems.

This new system ensures the structure and its residents will be fully protected when the next thunderstorm occurs.
