Morgan Sindall Employees Among Prestigious Award Nominees
The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) has announced the shortlist for this year's Construction Manager of the Year Awards (CMYA), which includes four senior Morgan Sindall employees.
The annual awards celebrate those who are working to deliver outstanding examples of projects in the construction sector.
Two Morgan Sindall project managers have been shortlisted, with David Boyle competing in the Primary Education category for his work on the St Nicholas' Primary School project, and Louis Whittington in the running for the Public & Infrastructure award for his work on the Ramsgate Fire Station scheme.
Patrick Johnson, senior site manager, has been named in the Restoration category for his part in the Ballater Railway Station project, while project director Tony Fitzgerald will look to take home the Higher Education prize for his work on the University of Birmingham's Collaborative Teaching Laboratory project.
Commenting on the success, Pat Boyle, managing director for Morgan Sindall Construction said: "I'd like to say congratulations to David, Louis, Patrick and Tony for making the shortlist for the Construction Manager of the Year Awards. The projects represent a variety of what we do across the UK, and are just some of the highlights of our completions in 2018. Good luck to the team for the upcoming awards ceremony."
The Construction Manager of the Year Awards will take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 18 September.
