Aarsleff Ground Engineering have announced the opening of a new office in Yorkshire to better service the needs and requirements of their clients across Yorkshire and the North-West.
This will become the organisation's third hub, with existing teams working from offices in Nottinghamshire and Newcastle.
Jody Parkin, Operations Director at Aarsleff Ground Engineering said: "Aarsleff already has extensive experience of working throughout the county, and it makes clear commercial and organisational sense for us to be extending our office presence here. We're seeing more and more projects that require having a much greater local focus and so having a dedicated team based in Yorkshire means we are now extremely well-placed to deliver those."
Despite it being a new office, the company are by no means a new entrant to this area, having worked on several schemes for a variety of clients over the years. In 2017, Aarsleff carried out the drilling and grouting, soil nailing and driven steel tube piling for a new primary school in Leeds on behalf of BAM Construction Ltd. A year later, North Midlands Construction/Building Ltd contracted Aarsleff to install sheet piles for a new retaining wall at Grovehill Depot in Beverley. In the same year, the company also installed just under 1000No. driven precast concrete piles for a new Stadium Leisure Complex in York, delivered a multidisciplinary foundations package at Saxton Gardens on behalf of Leeds City Council and undertook the specialist grouting, driven piling, soil nails and steel tube piles for main client Bowmer and Kirkland at Leeds Logic Park.
Aarsleff's Managing Director Kevin Hague added: "We've always experienced a high level of activity in Yorkshire and the surrounding areas owing to the strong relationships we've built up with clients over the years. Most recently, we revisited the Grand Mosque in Bradford, of which we had piled its original foundations back in 1998. Here, we installed 120No. driven precast concrete piles over a 5-day period for the Mosque's new community centre. Four months later, and we were back in Leeds drilling just over 10,000m at average depths of 11m and 27m and treating a total 5200m2 area with approximately 1,400T of grout."
Aarsleff Ground Engineering expanded their geotechnical team with the recent appointment of Dr Dan Adams as Senior Geotechnical Consultant. In Dan's various roles, he has worked on several prestigious projects across the United Kingdom and Ireland, including Cross Rail and the London Bridge Station Upgrade. Dan joins Aarsleff's Head of Geotechnical Jonathan Proctor in the firm's new Yorkshire office, who joined Aarsleff in March.
Aarsleff are a well-established ground engineering contractor who specialise in the design and installation of driven and drilled pile types, nail and anchoring work, specialist drilling and grouting operations and retaining wall structures. The new office is located within the Carcroft Enterprise Park in Doncaster, and is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
