A popular Welsh Medium school in Barry is set to undergo significant upgrades under the government's 21st Century Schools and Colleges Programme.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council has appointed ISG to deliver the £18.5m project for Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg, which will comprise of five new extensions, including a design and technology teaching block, a new sports hall built to Sport England specification, a reception area and dining hall.
These works will create additional capacity for up to 299 new students.
Further enhancements include the addition of six new multi-use games areas (MUGA) and a floodlit 3G all-weather rugby sports pitch.
Zoe Price, group director for public sector frameworks at ISG, commented: "Partnerships and collaboration are vital to the work we carry out in the public sector, and we are constantly innovating to make projects more efficient and reduce wasteful practices.
