McLaren Wins £190m Residential Project In London

A major residential development in London's Fitzrovia is set to move forward with contractor McLaren.

The national construction firm will deliver the £190 million project on behalf of a joint venture between Art-Invest Real Estate UK; the German real estate developer ECE; and Dukelease Properties.

When complete, the development will feature 88 luxury apartments, 35,000 sq ft of commercial space and 15 affordable housing units.

David Miller, McLaren's Regional Managing Director – London, commented: "We're excited to be working on delivering this prestigious project. McLaren has extensive experience in the residential and mixed-use sector, and it is great to be a part of a team delivering high-quality homes in this part of London."

The scheme is targeting 'BREEAM Excellent' accreditation. Demolition and substructure works on the island site are being carried out by Erith.

Main construction works are due to start early next year with completion scheduled in 2021.
