The Erith Park development in south east London which saw the creation of almost 600 new homes has been shortlisted for two national housing awards.
The project will compete at the 2019 Inside Housing Development Awards in the Best Regeneration and Best Partnership categories.
The national awards ceremony will showcase the best of the best in housing development and regeneration, recognising the work of landlords, developers and architects across the UK.
Developers Orbit and Wates Residential worked with architects Broadway Malyan to transform seven dated tower blocks in the Larner Road estate into 587 medium-rise homes. It comprises 80% affordable homes, a mix of affordable rent and shared ownership.
Commenting on the recognition, Caroline Field, Head of Regeneration at Orbit, said: "The whole team are really proud of the transformation of Erith Park and it's wonderful to have our hard work recognised by industry experts."
Paul Nicholls, Managing Director for Wates Residential, added: "Our vision for Erith Park was to create contemporary homes in a beautiful new neighbourhood that everyone can be proud of, so we're delighted to be recognised by our peers for making this vision a reality. We are now looking forward to continuing to build on the strong partnership we have developed with Orbit on our next partnership at Park East."
The 2019 Inside Housing Development Awards will take place on Wednesday 27 November in London.
