Thameslink Programme Projects Shortlisted For CEEQUAL Awards
The Thameslink Programme has been recognised by sustainability assessment, rating and awards scheme, CEEQUAL.
Two projects completed as part of the programme have been shortlisted for Exceptional Achievement Awards (EEA) by CEEQUAL.
These projects are the Bermondsey Dive Under, in the Ecology and Biodiversity category and the reconstruction of London Bridge station, in the Carbon, Heritage and Effect on Neighbours categories.
Both projects have received excellent ratings in the CEEQUAL process. The Bermondsey Dive Under received a whole project award of 96.6 per cent and London Bridge station a whole team award of 97.3 per cent.
The CEEQUAL Exceptional Achievement Awards showcase and reward project teams who have pioneered innovation and have demonstrated pinnacle best practice in a specific area on their project. The awards celebrate exceptional achievement within a specific topic so the project's overall CEEQUAL assessment score is not taken into consideration.
Duncan Wilkes, Network Rail Project Director, Infrastructure Projects said: "To have two projects shortlisted for these prestigious awards pays tribute to the skill, expertise and dedication of the people who delivered these amazing projects. Both the Dive Under and the new London Bridge station play important roles within the wider Thameslink Programme which has transformed north-south travel through London, dramatically improving millions of passenger journeys each year."
