New Programme To Explore Opportunities And Challenges Of Housing Sector
The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) has announced a collaboration with ITN Productions on a new news-style programme to raise awareness of the opportunities and challenges faced by the housing sector.
Stating that housing is fundamental to everyone's lives, the programme, The Future of Housing, will explore the key themes and partnerships that are really making an impact in the housing sector today. From enhanced customer engagement and efficiencies through technology, to building sustainable communities of tomorrow and safeguarding health and safety and mental health, the programme will showcase stories from those on the frontline of change.
The Future of Housing will also highlight how the sector is attracting young professionals into the industry and the work being done with Universities and business apprenticeships to develop the leaders of tomorrow in a new post-Brexit era.
The programme will combine key industry interviews, news items and sponsored editorial profiles and will launch at Housing 2020 in June 2020 in Manchester. The programme will form part of an extensive communications campaign featuring CIH members and professional partners.
CIH chief executive Gavin Smart said: "The challenges we face in the housing don't stand still so nor should we. We need to consider the challenges we will face tomorrow as we as how we will deliver a professional service today. This programme will build on the success of our previous collaborations with ITN Productions to explore a wide range of subjects, including how we empower and equip the housing leaders of the future."
ITN Productions head of industry news Vicki Clubley said: "We are really excited by the opportunity to partner again with the Chartered Institute of Housing to create a programme that we hope will educate and inform viewers about the complex challenges faced by the housing industry today and the ongoing work being done to protect vulnerable tenants, improve customer engagement, build sustainable communities, improve health and safety standards and champion tenant and employer wellbeing."
